Abstract: 

Background: Use of COMPUTER has been increased during the recent years. There are numerous factors affecting COMPUTER use in different organizations, while user’s involvement is among the most common influencing issues. The aim of the present study was to assess the relationship between COMPUTER user involvement and COMPUTER attitude and ANXIETY in community health centers. Materials and methods: It was a descriptive study. Totally, 319 nurses and staff working in community health centers were included. Data were collected using a questionnaire composed of 3 parts: COMPUTER users' involvement, attitude towards the COMPUTER, and COMPUTER ANXIETY. Results: Results showed that most of the respondents, 86.8% were women and 11.6% were men. Most of the male candidates (42.9%) aged 45-54 years while most of the females (42.1%) aged 35-44 years. Users' involvement induce a positive attitude towards the COMPUTER (p<0.0001). Indeed, users' involvement could increase positive attitude toward COMPUTER for patient care and patient confidentiality and can reduce COMPUTER ANXIETY (p<0.05). Results have revealed that in the pretest analysis, most of the subjects had a moderate attitude and knowledge, however, following the education, most of the cases acquired suitable attitude and knowledge (p<0.001), while the differences among controls were not statistically significant. Conclusion: For providing successful implementation and development of COMPUTERized information systems, user’s involvement is an important issue. Therefore, this factor should be considered by managers.

Abstract: 

Introduction: COMPUTER and it wide influence in today's world was induced excessive demand to COMPUTER for many people that companion to ANXIETY and fear. This research was aimed to study occurrence of COMPUTER ANXIETY among faculty members and managers.Methods: Two hundred faculty members and managers are selected by using the stratified random sampling method. Two questionnaires are used: demographic characteristics, and COMPUTER ANXIETY Rating Scale (CARS). Content, discrimination, and concurrent validity of questionnaires confirmed using a panel of experts. Reliability of CARS with using test-retest 0.92 obtained. Research method is descriptive. In present study five hypotheses was tested. To analyze data, t-test have been used.Findings: We found a relationship between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and sex (t=2.543, p<.05); between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and level of education (t=2.776,p<.05).3). There is a relationship between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and job experience (t=2.279, p<.05); between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and type of job (t=0.179, p<.05). But no any relationship between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and experience with COMPUTER (t=0.525, p>.05).Conclusion: There is relationship between rate COMPUTER ANXIETY and demographic characteristics.

Abstract: 

The aim of this research is analysis of the relation of the previous experience of COMPUTER with the performance in COMPUTER related-tasks with regard to the role of mediation of self-efficacy and COMPUTER ANXIETY which has been carried out with planning the conceptual model based on path analysis. For doing this, 282 undergraduate students (142 female and 140 male) from the Payame Noor University of Germi and bilesavar were selected through relative class sampling. They completed a questionnaire composed of a COMPUTER ANXIETY scale, a COMPUTER self- efficacy scale and a COMPUTER experiences questionnaire. Practical COMPUTER test scores were used to measure the performance of tasks connected to COMPUTER. The results showed that the previous COMPUTER experience has a significantly indirect effect on COMPUTER performance through the mediating role of COMPUTER ANXIETY and COMPUTER self- efficacy. COMPUTER ANXIETY has a significantly indirect effect on COMPUTER performance with the mediation of COMPUTER self- efficacy. The suggested model has a good fitness with the research data and could also explain 0.72 of the COMPUTER performance variance.

Abstract: 

Objectives: This research was carried out with the aim of examining COMPUTER ANXIETY in students and its relationship with COMPUTER self-efficacy in Arak University.Method: This study is a descriptive research in which 370 students of different fields in Arak University (123 males, 218 females) which were selected using random cluster sampling method were examined. Data were gathered using COMPUTER ANXIETY classification measure and COMPUTER self-efficacy measure. Statistical regression, Pearson's correlation and t-test were used for data analysis. Results: Arak University students had a higher degree of ANXIETY than the low level. There was a significant relation between COMPUTER ANXIETY and COMPUTER self-efficacy (p<0.01). Among the individual variables (sex, major field, scores mean) only major field had a significant effect on predicting the basic variable (COMPUTER ANXIETY) (p<0.001). Also, there was no significant difference between the scores mean of COMPUTER ANXIETY of boys and girls, but a difference was found regarding COMPUTER self-efficacy (p<0.001).Conclusion: COMPUTER ANXIETY is high in Arak University students. Necessary attention and action should be carried out to reduce COMPUTER ANXIETY in students.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the identity properties and COMPUTER ANXIETY with COMPUTER self-efficacy of high schools students of Amol. The research method was a correlation. The purpose of this study is an applied research. The population was 11,532 students. The sample was 390 which had been selected by cluster sampling. The research instrument was COMPUTER ANXIETY Hiens Questionnaire, identity properties of NEO and COMPUTER Self-efficacy Questionnaire of Morfy et al. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation, multiple regression and path analysis via a simultaneous use of SPSS21 and LISREL8.80. There is a negative relationship between COMPUTER ANXIETY and COMPUTER self-efficacy. There is a relationship between identity properties with COMPUTER self-efficacy. Regression analysis showed that extroversion, openness, agreement, conscience and COMPUTER ANXIETY predict students' COMPUTER self-efficacy. The results of path analysis showed that extroversion, openness, COMPUTER ANXIETY, conscience through agreement effect on COMPUTER self-efficacy students. But Agreement directly affects the impact on students' COMPUTER self-efficacy. On the other hand, extroversion, openness, COMPUTER ANXIETY through conscience has an indirect effect on agreement indirect effect. But conscience can have a direct effect on agreement. The findings of this study are based on the use of identity properties and COMPUTER ANXIETY focuses on students' COMPUTER self-efficacy.

Abstract: 

With the rapid spread of using technology in education, investigating constructs relating to how students interact with COMPUTERs and other technological tools is of vital importance. One of these constructs is COMPUTER ANXIETY that causes apprehension, confusion, fear, and finally withdrawal from working with COMPUTER. Due to the importance of measuring this construct among users of academic centers, this study investigated the psychometric characteristics of the Persian version of COMPUTER ANXIETY Rating Scale (CARS) (Weil & Rosen, 1995) among Iranian high-school students. To attain this goal, the translated version of CARS was distrusted among 789 high-school students who were selected randomly. To calculate validity and reliability of the scale, item analysis (item discrimination coefficient and Loope method), exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and internal consistency method were used. The result revealed that 18 items out of 20 items of the scale are statistically and psychometrically suitable for Iranian high-school population. The result of exploratory factor analysis detected 3 factors. The result of confirmatory factor analysis showed that there was a good fit with the suggested model and the gathered data. Cronbach’s alpha of the 18-item scale was found to be 0.90. The findings showed that the translated Persian version was a reliable and valid instrument to measure Iranian high-school students’ COMPUTER ANXIETY.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to explore the role of organizational support, COMPUTER experience, COMPUTER ANXIETY and COMPUTER self efficacy in predicting COMPUTER implementation among the experts of University of Tehran. In doing so, conceptual model of research has been designed and suggested using TAM model (Technology Acceptance Model) and theoretical and empirical literature has been used. In order to analyze data, path analyze was used. Findings showed that COMPUTER experience had direct and positive impact on COMPUTER implementation and also had direct and negative impact on COMPUTER ANXIETY, in other hand, organizational support had direct and negative impact on COMPUTER self efficacy, and in the same time had not direct and negative impact on COMPUTER ANXIETY.Also, COMPUTER self efficacy hadn’t any impact on COMPUTER ANXIETY and COMPUTER implementation, but COMPUTER ANXIETY had direct and negative impact on COMPUTER implementation. Furthermore, findings showed that only COMPUTER experience had indirect impact on COMPUTER implementation and this impact has been down by COMPUTER self efficacy.In other words, COMPUTER self efficacy had a mediator role between COMPUTER experience and COMPUTER implementation. Finally, the findings showed that the model has a good fitness with research data, and it can explain 20 percent of COMPUTER implementation variance.
